Caffè Borbone presents the special edition of “Caffè del Birbantello”

Five new coffee pods boxes designed by children on the theme “Everyday Heroes” Caffè Borbone’s social initiative, which began in Naples and has been extended nationwide in this edition, involved around 700 boys and girls in an inclusive artistic expression project that brought their creations to the coffee pod boxes.

The children's reflections on the theme turned into beautiful drawings full of meaning. For example, Maya drew her ‘superfamily,’ which in her story had the superpower to support and protect her. Dafne also thought of family, depicting her supermom helping her in a moment of difficulty, while Malak drew her sister and called her the heroine of peace. Not to mention the many dads, the captains with number 10. Some even thought of their furry family members, like Nora, who drew her dog Taco, while others represented their best friend as part of the family's heroes.

The drawings were evaluated by a jury that included, in addition to representatives of Caffè Borbone and the Pesenti Ets Foundation, two ambassadors of Caffè Borbone: Filippo Della Vite, a talent in Italian alpine skiing who has made creativity his skiing style, and Nicolò Canova, an artist and illustrator who was able to recognize the true artistic imprint of the small works of art.

All the children and teenagers were awarded in Milan at the Teatro alla Scala and in Naples at the Officine del Teatro San Carlo as part of two special events where Caffè Borbone made an additional donation to the associations to support the educational activities for the upcoming year aimed at preventing school dropouts.

The five NGOs that participated, working daily to improve the living conditions of the youngest, are: the 'Mission Bambini' foundation from Milan, 'Serming' from Turin, the 'L’Impronta' cooperative from Bergamo, the 'Gammazita' association from Catania, and the 'Fondazione Rione Sanità' from Naples.

I have always believed in the Caffè del Birbantello project. Says Massimo Renda, President and founder of Caffè Borbone. This year, the inspiration of everyday heroes helped generate in the young people that sense of belonging—to family, to the city, to their friends—that we know is of fundamental importance in their growth journey"
